Welcome to the 30MHz platform!
This guide will help you start using the platform with success. We will take you through to the basics of the platform.
Of course, before we can start using the platform, we do need to have some data. Data can come from 30MHz sensors, 3rd party sensors, or API integrations (e.g. Climate Computer data). Start with the installation when you have 30MHz sensors.
Install your 30MHz sensors
One way of collecting data is to use 30MHz sensors. 30MHz sensors measures every minute of their environment and sends the data through with a wireless network to the 30MHz gateway. The 30MHz gateway is connected to the ethernet of the location or with a 3G network. Repeaters can be placed to expand the network that the gateway has created. Take the following steps to install your 30MHz hardware.
- While installing the sensors, check the Sensors page to see if the sensors are online. If the sensor is online, realtime data will be shown as status at the Sensors page.
- At the Sensors page, you are able to see the Online % of the sensor calculated from the last hour. You should optimize your network range if a sensor online percentage is underneath 98%. Is your online percentage above 98%? Amazing! You are ready to measure.
Create your first dashboard
Now we have some data in the platform, we can start visualizing this into dashboards. The dashboards are visible for every user that is part of a user in the organisation. Use different types of widgets to get the most out of your data.
- It is possible to change the order of the widgets within the dashboards. Just grab and drag a widget to the preferred spot.
- Click on the widget to get a bigger overview from the data. Here you can explore and analyze deeper into your data.
Communicate about your data
Do you want to bring a user outside of your organisation to the conversation? Or are you working with a project group and want to bring sensors from multiple organisations together? Just create a group! Share your sensors, add users, and start the conversation within the group.
Manage your account
There are two things to manage within your organisation: data and users with their roles/permissions. An owner can manage this. An owner? Yes! There are 3 different types of roles that you can have as a user: owners, editors, and followers.
Manage your data with tags and other filter options
At every search field within the platform, you can use sensor filters to search efficiently. Use tags, sensor name, and sensor type to filter the right sensor. The different sensor types are visible at the sensor page at the left sidebar. A sensor type is the kind of sensor, e.g. Temperature and Humidity, CO2, or PAR.
Create tags to group sensors within the organisation. Many of our customers use them to group sensors by department or location.
How 30MHz is organized
As a user, you can be invited to an organisation (or multiple organisations) and to a group (or multiple groups). Organisations can have multiple locations but have at least one location. The data will be collected per location, but visible and visualized through dashboards within the organisation. This means that the data is visible for all the users in the organisation.
Groups is a private environment for users within the group. This can be created outside an organisation. Groups can be created with users and data from different organisations.
Now you know the basics of the 30MHz platform. Good luck!
